Prayers That Heal Emotions 

HOW CAN I DRAW CLOSE TO GOD

This is a question that all of us ask. At times it throbs like a toothache. At other times it lies buried beneath the clutter of everyday busyness.  But the question remains. There are times of “close encounters” where you experience His Peace and His Love. These times tantalize us, tease us, make us hungry for more.  They put us in touch with dimensions of our life that are missing; parts of ourselves that we know were there all along, but had lost contact with. 

In Christian meditation we unlatch the doors of our hearts so Christ can fill us with His Gospel and His Love.  We can open this door countless times. We can open the doors to the endless beauty of our Eternal Lover.  Meditation is prayer that sinks below the surface of conscious thought.  It is what is mean by the phrase, “praying with our whole hearts.” 

The Real us lies below the surface.  Hare are stored old memories, good and bad, the fresh bright wonderful memories of early childhood and traumas buried so deep we wall them off from awareness. Here resides our sexuality.  Here is the buried sublimity of our higher self as well as the cesspool of our darkness.  Meditation is letting prayer sink to these hidden parts. 

“If your faith is grounded in the sub-conscious mind, it will sustain you through any crisis.  If it no deeper than your conscious mind, it will desert you in the moment you are off guard.  Its God given power is amazing.  Jesus Christ knew all about the subconscious mind and the part it played in our lives.” 

A MEDITATION ON THE SON   

I am the One with whom you are most familiar because I became human. I lived physically in your world. I was born of a Virgin.  I was a miracle worker in your world. I was
crucified. I died and I was buried.  You know the story.  You also know that I rose from the dead. I was seen by many.  I ate with them.  I told Thomas to put his hands in my wounds because even though he saw Me he did not believe what he saw. You do not see Me.  Do you believe Me? Am I real to you?  

I ascended into heaven. I took My rightful place at the right hand of the Father. From then I will come to judge the living and the dead.  You’ve heard these words many times.  You’ve spoken them at Mass or when you ricited the Rosary.  I ask you. Do you believe that I am a Person who is alive and dwelling in you somehow miraculously. 

I understand your humanity because I lived on your earth as a human being.  I am fully human.  I am also fully Divine.  I heal your humanity because I am Divine.  I know what you feel and why you feel it. I use this knowledge to provide exactly what you need to heal your human misery. 

I am a Teacher.  That is true.  However, I am also the Divine Healer.  People flocked to hear what I had to say because of the miraculous healing power that I exhibited in My stay in temporary.   

I heal today as I did then.  I have not changed.  I am the Love that understands your humanity and heals it through My Divinity.  You know what I mean.  You find it so easy to speak with Me by name because of the fact that I did spend time in your world.  I am a historical person.  I am known world wide.  Not everyone accepts My Divinity.  However, you do and that is all that matters.  I am in relationship with you through the indwelling of the Mutual Love of Our Father and Myself in the Person of the Most Holy Spirit.  It is this Love that flows through Our Interactions that allows Me the opportunity to introduce you to My Father as My friend. I know His response will be, “Any friend of My Son is a friend of Mine.

It does not take much effort to be with Me. All you need is a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. You have just found such a place. It is not a church. That does not matter to Me. I always find a way to come to My friends. It does not matter where they are. All you and they need is the will to just be with Me quietly. Thus We touch.

I surprise you by rising to your awareness here. I know your schedule is messed up. That does not matter to Me. I follow My Own routine. In fact, I have no routine at all.

I am like the wind. I come where I wish. I blow across the souls of My friends. I enrich them just by being with them where and when they do not expect Me to be. I make My Point gently. I caress souls gently. I share My Peace internally.

Why are you so surprised? Have I not done this before? This is nothing new. Is it? Thus when you are restless and all off schedule find a quiet place. Settle down. Experience My gentle embrace. Be still. Know I am your God. I am everywhere you are. All I need is a signal from you that you welcome My Presence in you. There is nothing more for you to do. Just be with Me quietly. I'll find My Way to be with you.

JUST BE JUST BE

It feels good to just be with Me. Does it not? No one is standing over you with a gun. There are no buttons to push. There is no need to rush. Take some deep breaths. Breathe in My Love. Let go of all agendas. Have nothing to do.

I clear your mind. I wipe away your clutter. I help you just be with Me. Isn't silence wonderful? Isn't this like being in Adoration? Yet you are not in church. You found My Secret. I can be with you peacefully and silently anywhere. That's what so special about being in relationship with Me.

You don't need a church. You are a Temple of The Living God. I dwell in you. I make you My Monstrance. I know that sounds weird. Yet it is not as strange as it sounds. A Monstrance carries My True Presence in a piece of bread.

You receive My True Presence in you as well. You receive the fullness of My Divinity and the fullness of My Humanity Eucharistically daily. I dwell in you as fully as I dwell in the bread and wine that are My Eucharist. That's the Miracle of Transubstantiation. You receive this Miracle in the Eucharist at Mass. Thus My Miracle of Transubstantiation dwells in you.

What a joy it is for Me to be invited to dwell in you daily! I know it is your joy too. Thus, let's just be together quietly in this Sacred Space where We both choose to be. I love you My friend. I know you love Me too. Thus I rise to your awareness.  I make these few moments in this rather public place special for you. Just be with Me. Just be. Just be.

OCD

You don't have to count the words to see if I have given you the usual number of words today. I do as I please. If I do not utter another word in you, that makes no
difference. Does it? One Word from Me is all you need. Anything else is dressing on the cake. You know this. It is just your obsessive nature that makes you measure words.

That's okay! That does not bother Me in the least. I know you inside out. I know you cannot help yourself. I also know that when I finish this letter to you and you save it you will see how long it is. You will automatically count words.

Oh! I am getting so nervous. I hope I pass your test.
